Extras: Christmas charity advent calendar

For the past few years (starting in 2019) I've been donating money every day between the 1st and 24th of December as a better alternative to a Christmas Advent Calendar.


While it is not a large amount of money, it is an amount that most people would be able to afford, and I would recommend to anyone able to donate. People interested in doing their own #CharityAdventCalendar should consider how much they are able to donate based on their own circumstances. I've been donating $5/day ($120/year) as a PhD student with an annual income <$30000AUD.


This project was covered in an interview with ABC Hobart Afternoons with Helen Shield in December 2021.
